Born April 17, 1948 in Pottsville, he was the son of the late Robert Joseph and Rosine Elizabeth (Hughes) Klinger Sr., and preceded in death by his sister, Gayle Klinger.
Surviving is his wife of 51 years, Mary Louise (Mersky) Klinger; three daughters, Cynthia and her husband, Robert, Victoria and her husband, Aldo and Kristin and her fiancée, Robert; four grandchildren, Alexander, Xavier, Noella and Julianne.
He was a retired owner and operator of APB Outdoor Advertising and a U.S. Army Reserve veteran.
Robert was a member of St. Margaret Mary Alacoque Catholic Church, the Raccoon Athletic Club, VFW and the Hershey Italian Club.
He was a graduate of Temple University and Bishop McDevitt High School, class of 1966, where he lettered in Basketball.
Robert was an avid sports fan, especially the Phillies and the Eagles.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 AM Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 2800 Paxton Church Rd., Harrisburg. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. A visitation will be from 10:30 AM Tuesday until the time of the service at the church.
