Rita Mary Wilson, 89, of Havertown, passed away Friday, December 2, 2022, at Lankenau Medical Center, Wynnwood. She was the daughter of the late Charles Francis and Catherine (Conboy) Wilson, and was preceded in death by her brother, Charles P. Wilson, and her sister, Theresa "Vera" Borne. Rita is survived by two nephews, Stephen C. Borne (Lara) of Camp Hill and Michael R. Borne (Colleen) of Dover, and two nieces, Sheilah Borne Fuller (Timothy) and Eileen Hower (Jeremy), both of Paxtang, and great-neices and nephews, Katherine, James, Brendan, Kevin, Grace, Brigid, Natalie, Jack, Liam and Connor. She is also survived by cousins AnnaMarie, Daniel, Jr., Joseph and Maureen Gallagher and Kathleen, JoAnn, Edward, Jr. and Colleen Dillon, in addition to her many cousins in Rooskey, County Roscommon, Ireland, the Conboy family, with whom she remained in close communication. She retired from the U. S. Department of Labor's Bureau of Labor Statistics, Philadelphia, where she worked for nearly 40 years. She was a past member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) the Notre Dame Club of Philadelphia, the Red Hat Club of Philadelphia, and the Browns Mills VFW Post #6805. She attended St. Denis Catholic Church, Havertown. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church, 4000 Derry Street, Harrisburg. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Harrisburg immediately following the mass.
