Nancy L. Brown

Born January 22, 1936 in Harrisburg; she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Ethel (Shellenberger) Smith; and preceded in death by her husband, George Brown; son, Thomas “Bones” Richards; and brother, Ronald Reed.

Surviving are her children, Robert Richards, Debra Salzinger, (Joe), Michael Richards and John Richards,(Hosanna); step-children, Kerry Brown (Lora), Kevin Brown (Karen) and Eric Brown (Pam Reece); grandchildren, Ryan Kimmel (Jen) and Alex Kimmel, sons of Karl Kimmel, Rebecca Richards, Heather Richards, Justice Roney, Dylan, Elijah, Colleen (Jeff), Garret, Jared and Caleb (Anna); and 10 great-grandchildren.

Nancy was a retired purchasing agent for the PA Depart. Of Health and Welfare.

She was a Life member of the Penbrook American Legion Post 730 and the Progress Fire Co. Home Association.

Nancy was always a delight to be around and always had a smile on her face. Through all her challenges in life, she would not bat an eye and was always there to lend an ear to others. She enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys and the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame. She loved her cat Zena, cuddled up on the couch watching her favorite TV shows. She is loved by many and will be missed by all.

A Graveside Service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, August 28, 2020 in Churchville Cemetery, Oberlin.
