Michael James Kirby

The man, the myth, the legend, will be remembered by many. He was a man of few words but never failed to say “I love you.” He worked for Frick JCI for 25-plus years, and recently retired as a supervisor. He was enjoying his retirement, spending many hours in the woods or simply sitting on his back porch enjoying the peace and quiet with his best friends (dog) Doebee, Oakley, Mason and Zip. Mike was an avid hunter, and greatly enjoyed the outdoors and wildlife.

Mike is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sandra J. Kirby. He had 3 daughters; Briana L. (Kennie L.) Ile, Stephanie M. (Jonathan) Williams, and Nicole D. (Jake L.) Stine. He was a proud Pappy to 7 grandkids; Coltyn Stine, Justina Guyer, Tucker Ile, Clayton Stine, Thayne Stine, Marquise Williams and Victoria Williams. He was fortunate enough to have 6 great-grandkids that loved their Pappy; Hayden Stine, Finley Stine, Kade Guyer, Sawyer Stine, Olsen Stine and Lillian Guyer. Mike had many other kids who called him Pappy. We also had 3 sisters and a brother.

He was predeceased by his parents, Finley V. and Ada I. Kirby, and a brother.

The family is planning a celebration of life for Mike at a later date, and requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made in his memory to the PA Breast Cancer Coalition, or any other cancer foundations.
