Melissa Jane Wiser

She was born on September 16, 1966 in Bellefonte, PA to Gay and Norman Fetters, who survive at home. Missy always knew how to have a good time, and enjoyed giving her parents and brother a run for their money, especially when she pulled out the “Lee Beater.”

In 1987, she gave birth to her daughter, Erica, and 1995, to her son, Zachary. She loved her children more than life itself and they felt her love every single day.

Melissa loved spending her time walking in the woods with her dog, being with her children, and traveling with family and friends. She enjoyed drinking Twisted Tea on a warm spring day and red wine on a snowy winter night.

She is survived by her children, Erica Wiser (Clinton) and Zachary Wiser (Brianna); her parents, Gay and Norman Fetters; her brother, Lee Fetters (Desiree); her partner, Brian Nace; her children’s father, Richard Wiser; her best friend, Janell Burger; and her loyal canine companion, Bob, as well as two dearly loved grand pups. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Jane Griffith and James and Viola Fetters.

Our mother was our best friend, and this is a loss we cannot even begin to process. We take comfort in knowing that she lived life to the fullest and knew how much we all loved her, and we knew how much she loved us.
