Mary Lou Stoltzfus, 80, of Lititz, passed away on Wednesday May 15th at UPMC Pinnacle in Lititz only a few days after falling ill on mother's day. Born on February 10th, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Marry Allison of New Holland along with her six younger brothers Tony, Richard (Dick), Kenny, Paul, and the late Bob and Gerald.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Carl Nevin Stoltzfus and their ten children Kimberly, Joan, Natalie, Brian, and Matthew of Lititz, Derek of Lancaster, Jennifer of East Petersburg, Jonathan of State College, Barbara of Pensacola, Florida, and Perry of Portland, Oregon. She was also the greatest Nanna ever to eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Mary Lou was first and foremost a mother and homemaker who spent most of her life raising her children and grandchildren. In her spare time, she loved to make crafts and could often be found selling her beautifully crafted wreaths and jewelry at local craft fairs around Lancaster county. She also enjoyed reading and gardening, and strove to fill every inch of her yard with plants and flowers. She loved spending her time listening to and playing bluegrass music and enjoyed dancing to her favorite artists.
There will be no funeral service, however a celebration of life drop-in gathering is being held Sunday, May 19th at the Lititz Rock Hotel between 2pm and 5pm.
