Mary, affectionately known as Nana, was born on June 13, 1932 to the late James Waldo Enoch and Elizabeth Richardson Enoch in Reidsville, NC. Nana and her ex-husband John Graves moved to Pennsylvania in 1951. In time Nana became one of Harrisburg’s most accomplished entrepreneurs. She was the successful owner of Worth’s Dress Shop, The Plant Shop, All American Fuel Oil and The Lounge. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society and enjoyed getting together with her Red Hat sisters.
Nana loved doing yard work and flowers. Her yard always stood out in the community due to its beautiful landscaping. She also loved to cook, bake, make wedding cakes, and spend time with her family.
She is survived by her daughter Theresa Ulen (Husband Clive); daughter in-law Stephanie Graves; sister Ernestine Enoch; grandchildren Debra Dunlap, Jerron Palmer (Wife Jenifer), Renee Butts (Husband Kiyasi), Willie Arter, Jason Graves, Corey Palm, Andre’a McCain, John Graves Jr., Wayne Graves; along with great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and a host of other family members. She is proceeded in death by her children Willie Howard Graves, John Wayne Graves; companions L. J. Walker and Allen Mosten.
