Mary was born March 23, 1931 in South Philadelphia; she was the daughter of the late John G. and Rose (Rantuccio) Villante; and preceded in death by her grandson, Antonio J. Abate.
She was a retired employee from the PA Department of Revenue and a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church.
Surviving is her husband of 66 years, Samuel B. Abate; two sons, Anthony S. Abate, of Mechanicsburg and Joseph M. Abate. Of Red Bank, NJ; two daughters, Rosemarie E. Fackler, of Middletown and Marlene L. Weikert, of Harrisburg; 7 grandchildren, Angela, Mark, Amy, Stephen, Samuel, Nina and Leonardo; and 8 great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 6150 Allentown Blvd., Harrisburg. Burial will in Holy Cross Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 9:30 AM Saturday to the time of the service at the church.
