Marva Rosetta Hampton Brown was born on November 2, 1936, in Petersburg, VA, to mother Evelyn McCleod Fields and father Walter Alexander Fields. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, relative, and friend of many in the Virginia and Pennsylvania communities.
She peacefully transitioned into eternal life on June 07, 2023.
Marva was preceded in death by her 3 sisters Barbara Wilder, Vivian Fields, and Margaret Barnes; daughter Belynthia Hampton, and ex-husbands Bernard Hite and James Hampton. Her memory will be forever cherished by her family; Husband Vernon Brown of Columbia, SC; Son William “Marty” Hampton of Chester, PA; Grandson Diarra Hampton-Thompson of Greensboro, NC; Granddaughter Essence Hampton-Thompson of Phoenix Arizona; and countless host of nieces and nephews in the surrounding Petersburg, VA area.
Marva was truly loved and will be greatly missed, but forever will remain in our hearts.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, June 15, 2023, at 11:00 am, at Neill Funeral Home; 3501 Derry St, Harrisburg, PA 17111, with a visitation from 10:00 am, until the time of service.
