Marlin F. Smith, 98, of Orwigsburg, formerly of Lancaster, passed away peacefully in his home on Saturday July 31, 2021. He was 3 days shy of his 99th birthday. Marlin was a US Navy Veteran of WWII and a professional truck driver for over 35 years.
He is survived by one son, William Shimp of Millersburg; three daughters, Mary Ann Singer of Hummelstown, Carolyn Lang of Meridian, ID and Brenda Bell of Orwigsburg, fifteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and numerous great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He is joining in Heaven his beloved wife, Ana, a son, Robert Shimp and a grandson, Curtis Snyder.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 on Saturday, August 7, 2021, in the Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry Street, Harrisburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 until 1:00 prior service. Burial will follow at Churchville Cemetery, Oberlin, with military Honors.
