Larry O. Evans ,73, of Middletown, PA, peacefully transitioned into eternal life in the late hours of April 4th, 2025. He was born in Trenton, NJ, son of the late J. Naomi Williams and Oliver Evans Sr.
Larry was born February 14th 1952. He attended John Harris High School. He played football for the Harrisburg Pioneers and played basketball as well. Larry was employed at Fruehauf Company and was a long-haul cab driver. He enjoyed watching his teams Ohio State and Washington Redskins, recently changed “Commanders”. He enjoyed spending time with his kids, especially Kebra and getting laughs off his grands and great grands. He liked playing video games on his phone and getting the latest technology.
Larry enjoyed getting up early in the morning to listen to Bible studies and scripture texts, as well as the teachings of Pastor Gino Jennings.
Larry was preceded in death in addition to his parents; his maternal grandmother Jeanette Littles, his sisters Connie Cox and Deborah Cunningham; his brothers, Dennis (Charlotte) Evans, Gaylord Evans, Oliver Evans Jr., Kenneth Littles, William Evans Sr. and Charles Evans.
Larry leaves to celebrate his life, his daughters, Toreaka (Torrie), Keya and Lakebra McCraw, all of Harrisburg. His son, Larry Rineer of Lancaster, PA. His sisters, Valerie Evans, Pamela Palmer, Carol Moore of Harrisburg, PA; Gail Oakley (Douglas) and Barbara Evans of Steelton, PA.; sisters in-law Paula Evans and Nancy Evans of Steelton, PA, Francine Murphy and Vera Littles of Harrisburg, PA. His brothers Bruce Williams of Steelton, PA; Glen Evans and Jeffrey Evans of Trenton, NJ; his 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grands; a dedicated and devoted friend of 59 years, Teresa McCraw-Cofield; his companion Janet Crumlich and her son Taylor Crumlich, a host of other relatives and friends.
