Kim Marie Shepard

Kim is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband, John Shepard; oldest daughter, Beth Walden (Justin) and her two grandchildren, Caroline and Edward; twin daughters, Jen Shepard, and Jackie Shepard (fiancé Zach McCreary); mother, Marjorie Welby; and siblings, Kelly Leydon, Kerrie Moore, and Kirk Welby (Christine).

She was preceded in death by her father Kevin Welby and brother Michael Welby.

Before she fell ill, Kim was outgoing, funny, and a talented athlete who golfed, played ice hockey and softball. Kim coached several youth sports and was often traveling and scuba diving with John. She worked as an X-ray tech and was active in the community. Immediately following her diagnosis, Kim started Shutout Alzheimer’s, a Walk to End Alzheimer’s team which has raised over $120,000 in the past few years to aid Alzheimer’s support and research, which the family will continue to run.

A service will be held on Saturday 2/22/2020, 2PM at Zimmerman-Auer Funeral Home, Inc., 4100 Jonestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17109. Visitation will be from 1PM-2PM.

A Celebration of Life will follow at Skyline Family Restaurant at 5:00PM in Harrisburg.
