She was the wife of the late David A. Day.
Kay was born in Atlanta at Mercy Hospital on February 16, 1948 and was the daughter of the late Kenneth L. and Mary M. (Malone) Group. She was raised by her grandmother Dellia Malone.
Kay was a retired equipment operator for the PA Turnpike. She truly enjoyed her job of plowing snow and handling the new equipment and vehicles in her charge.
She is survived by her older brother Kenneth E. Group and wife Joan, her younger brother Raymond F. Steiner, wife Debbie and his children, Heidi Fisher-Frasier, Heather, Kevin, Jessica and Tonya Steiner and 13 nieces and nephews. Also surviving is her step-daughter, Sheri L. Romano; step-grandchildren, Tara, Tasha, Tia and Paul Romano, one great step-granddaughter, Azaileah M. Romano and her stepson, Jeffrey D. Day.
Kay was a colorful and vibrant individual who loved life, enjoyed dancing, music and being anywhere there was fun and the sun was shining! She was dearly loved by many people and will be greatly missed!
Her family and friends will be honoring Kay with a Celebration of Life Gathering at her home on March 11th, 2017 from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM. We ask that you bring a dish to share. You may call Sheri Romano @ 717-254-0579 for information.
