

John was born in Fort Morgan Colorado on a farm to his father Edward Williams and mother Olga (Kembell) Hutt, who preceded him in death. He was the middle of nine children. He was preceded by his older brothers Robert Williams and Edward Harry Williams in death, and survived by his siblings Dorothy Corder, Donald Williams, Shirley Cridlebaugh, Rosemary Grosshans, Paul Williams, and Nancy McDonald.
John Was a Fun loving child, he had an adventurous streak and a sense of humor that would keep those around him laughing. He had to leave school after the 8th grade to work and help support the family. Some of the various jobs that defined him were: a farmhand, a truck driver, an oil rigger, a member of the Army Reserve, and finally became a master drywall finisher. He was a part time inventor and problem solver; he could work around any problem with a creative solution inspired by the Holy Spirit.
God delivered Johns soul mate, and best friend, Alice Kay Williams at a tent revival in Fort Morgan, Colorado where they fell in love. They were married on June 19th 1960 and were happily married for 47 years before she was taken to be with Jesus on December 24th 2007.
John and Alice were devoted Christians and served the Lord faithfully together and apart where ever the opportunity was made available. They pastored at Praise Fellowship in McCook Nebraska and lead multiple bible studies, prayer groups, and worked with multiple churches in a support role over their lives. They were missionaries to the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota and served the Lord through ministering to the people.
John and Alice were blessed immensely with 5 wonderful children. They were devoted parents who loved their family unconditionally and lead them in Faith. On September 4th 1961 John James Williams II was born and went to be with the Lord on July 29th 2006. Terry Wayne Williams was born on March 22nd 1963. Judilynn Jukola was born on May 27th 1965. Timothy Scott Williams was born on December 29th 1966. Michael Edward Williams was born on November 1st 1982. John was also blessed with 17 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
In his later years his desire to minister was not diminished by illness. He became a friend, a mentor, and a spiritual influence to many over the Internet. His words of wisdom and quotes of scripture inspired and helped guide many in their spiritual walks. He was as good as a father to many giving love and encouragement to all he meet; embracing the idea of a life lived without judgment but embracing kindness and love.
He goes home to be with Jesus leaving behind a legacy as a Loving selfless husband, a Kind nurturing Father, a willing servant of Jesus, a close dependable friend, and a spiritual mentor to many. Those who knew him and loved him will miss John Williams and their hearts will be enriched for the experience of knowing this wonderful man of God.
Services will be held at Hopewell Community Church 1130 Commerce Dr, Pottstown, PA 19464 on Saturday March 31st at 10:30am.
