John Paul Madigan

Joh was born in Gallitzin Twp., PA on June 29, 1938, a son of Thomas and Marie (Beiswenger) Madigan. John was a graduate of Gallintzin High School and Thompson Business Institute. He retired from Bethlehem Steel Co. Steelton as Materials Manager Storekeeper. John also worked as Purchasing Manager for Harley-Davidson, York.

John was a member of the Perseverance Lodge 21, F&AM, Harrisburg Consistory, Zembo Temple and the Tall Cedars of Lebanon Forrest 43.

John was an avid bowler and is registered in the PBA Hall of Fame for rolling several 300 games. He also enjoyed playing golf with his friends.

John was a true Pittsburgh Pirates fan, watching every televised game and frequently traveling to Pittsburgh for home games. He was also loyal to the Black and Gold as a Steelers fan, however his favorite pastime was playing with his grandchildren.

In addition to his loving wife of 27 years, Dianne, John is survived by his loving daughter, Patricia Cindric, of hermitage, PA her husband Blase and 3 grandchildren, Blase, Brandon and Fiona. John was the oldest boy of 14 children and is survived by 9 loving sister and 3 loving brothers and their families. He will be missed greatly by his large family and many friends.

Viewing will be Wednesday, October 21, 2015 from 6-8 PM at Neill Funeral Home 3501 Derry St. Harrisburg and 10:00 to 11:00 Thursday, October 22, 2015 at St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church, 4000 Derry St. Harrisburg where Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM, Ceremony of interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
