

Born, January 28, 1917 in Harrisburg, PA, to Gottfried Heberle and Elizabeth Erk Heberle.
John was preceded in death by his wife of 74 years, Rose Marie Martz Heberle, son John G. Heberle, grandson, Mark Heberle, brothers, Gottfried, Henry, Andrew, Jesse, and sister, Elizabeth McCarthy.
Surviving are daughters: Rozanne Buhrman and son-in law, William Buhrman, Carolyn Zimmerman, Barbara Fleming, daughter-in-law, Nancy Heberle, grandsons, William Buhrman, Matthew Heberle, granddaughter, Lisa Swan, great grandson, Warren Buhrman, great granddaughter, Kaylee Heberle, sister, Rose Zeiters, and granddog Wolfy.
John was a World War II Navy veteran involved in submarine and torpedo research. He worked at his father's business, Cliquot Bottling Company in Harrisburg, PA for many years. He retired from Pepsi of New York.
Quite the handyman and problem solver, John could repair anything. He was admired for his remarkable short and long-term memory up to the time of his death. Christmas was his favorite time of the year and he delighted in winning awards for the best Christmas decorating. His love was Pepsi as Production Manager for 30 years. During his retirement, he enjoyed puttering around the house, traveling, and visiting family and friends with his wife Rose Marie.
He had been a member of the German Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Harrisburg, PA for many years, and was a "Born Again Christian."
The family thanks John's daughters, Carolyn, for her assistance, and Barbara, for her devotion as caregiver.
Viewing will be held at 10:00 AM followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM, Thursday, December 13, 2012, at Our Saviour Lutheran Church, 420 N. Progress Avenue, Harrisburg, with Pastor Joel Petruschke officiating. A private burial will be held later.
