Glenn A. Stump, 89, of Harrisburg, passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2014 at Community General Osteopathic Hospital. He was born March 12, 1924 in Floyd Co., Virginia; he was the son of the late Alfred E. and Annie V. Stump.
He was a retired engineer for Conrail, and a U.S. Army Air Corp veteran of WW II.
He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church, the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and the Rutherford VFW Post 1213.
Surviving is his wife of 68 years, Edna E. (Charlton) Stump; daughter, Glenna G. Stump; 2 sons, David L. Stump and Dean A. Stump, all of Harrisburg; grandson, John G. Stump; and 2 brothers, Harvey S. Stump, of Michigan City, IN and Walter K. Stump, of South Bend, IN.
Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, March 8, 2014 in Trinity E. C. Church, 165 N. 67th St., Harrisburg. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. A viewing will be held 10:00 AM Saturday until the time of the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity E. C. Church, 165 N. 67th St., Harrisburg, PA 17111.
