Giuseppe “Joe” Neve, passed on June 26, 2023 in the comfort of his home, he was born on December 2, 1945 in Mammola RC, Italy. While in Europe, he worked as a stonecutter in Luxembourg. In the early 70’s he immigrated to the United States, where he worked construction for J. J. Navarro. From 1977 to 2013 he was the owner of Sorrento Pizza on Derry Street in Harrisburg. He later was a yard driver for Renzenberger and then Hallcon until his passing. He was preceded in death by his father, Martino Neve; mother, Filomena (Scarfo) Neve; and two brothers, Dominic Neve and Antonio Neve. He is survived by his children, Martino G. Neve (Lindsay), Antonio S. Neve (Jessica) and Victoria F. Neve; grandchildren, Angelina Neve, Matthew and Emily Silvis; brother, Martino “Sam” Neve; sister, Maria Rosa (Neve) Camarda; as well as many nephews, nieces and other family members. A viewing will be held Thursday, June 29, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry St., Harrisburg. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Friday, June 30, 2023 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 1439 Market St., Harrisburg. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Greater Harrisburg Humane Society of Harrisburg Area, 7790 Grayson Rd., Harrisburg, PA 17111 or to Hospice of Central PA, 1320 Linglestown Rd., Harrisburg, PA 17110.
