Born April 1, 1927 in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Sarah (Maloney) Minnaugh; and preceded in death by her three brothers, Joseph, Eugene and Gerald Minnaugh; and brothers-in-law, James Fagan and Joseph Breski; and sister-in-law, Roseline Minnaugh.
Surviving are her daughter, Emilie M. Kief, of Santa Fe, NM; son, Richard G. Kief, of Washington, DC and Gettysburg; daughter-in-law, Andrea S. Rutledge; former daughter-in-law, Judith A. Williams; grandchildren, Megan Vetri (Marc), of Philadelphia, Adrienne Seitz (David), of Gettysburg, Brendan Williams-Kief (Kara), of Washington DC, and Bridget Cole (Allen), of Mount Wolf; great grandchildren, Finn and Quaide Clarke, Maurice, Catherine and Mario Vetri, Ivor and Fiona Williams-Kief, and Ronan Cole; two sisters, Marita Fagan, of Scranton and Julie Breski, of Erie; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Minnaugh, of Harrisburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Eileen was a retired employee from Allstate Insurance Co. and a lifelong member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Eileen was a graduate of Harrisburg Catholic High School and attended Seton Hill University. She was an active supporter of both institutions.
She loved family events and traveling to other countries with family and friends. She enjoyed music, movies, and the news and current events. Eileen was devoted to and found great strength in her Catholic faith.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 17, 2022 in St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 1439 Market St., Harrisburg. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
A viewing will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, December 16, 2022 in the Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry St., Harrisburg. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 7:00 PM. A second viewing will take place from 10 AM to 11 AM on Saturday, December 17 at Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 1439 Market Street, Harrisburg.
