Born April 28, 1929 in Manhattan, New York, he was a son of Axel and Marion (Boyden) Molander.
Don retired in 1993 from Yellow Freight. He was a member of Teamsters #771, VFW Post 1213, American Legion Post 272, and the National Rifle Association.
He was a U.S. Army combat veteran of the Korean War.
On September 29, 1962 in Brooklyn, New York, he wed the former Charlotte Irwin, who survives along with two sons, Donald W. Molander and his wife Kim, of Middletown and Richard E. Molander and his wife Sandy, of Westtown, New York; five grandchildren, Richard Jr., Heather, Shannon, Miranda and Dane; and one nephew, Dean Anderson of Alabama.
Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon on Friday at the Zimmerman-Auer Funeral Home, Inc., 4100 Jonestown Rd., Harrisburg. Interment will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Friday from 11 a.m. until the hour of services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Legion Post 272, 505 Mountain Rd., Linglestown, PA 17112.
