November 21, 1945- December 26, 2020 Sonny Levi, 75, of Harrisburg, PA passed away at The Milton Hershey Medical Center on December 26th due to complications of pancreatic cancer surgery. Sonny actually won the fight and was cancer free, but unfortunately the road to recovery after the surgery was a very hard and rocky one. Sonny graduated from John Harris High School and proceeded to enlist in The United States Air-force. Soon Sonny got into fixing and programming computers which he was a whiz at! He worked for a major computer company, Unisys, for a long time and retired from there. Sonny was a hard worker and liked to keep busy, he even continued to work after his formal retirement. Sonny enjoyed deep sea fishing, hunting, traveling and especially being at the beach any chance he got. Sonny was also a lover of old school soul music like Otis Redding and Etta James and of course his ultimate favorite genre, smooth jazz! But, the main and most important thing he enjoyed and loved was his family. Sonny was always the one to bring everyone together and plan family reunions and get togethers. He loved a good cookout! And you dare not say you couldn't make it to one.. he would not take no for an answer! Sonny was always the life of the party, very quick witted with his unique way of telling hilarious stories, cracking jokes and reminiscing about the past. Even If you didn't know him or the story, he would still have you falling off your chair laughing just from hearing his punchline and infectious laughter. Sonny leaves behind three children: Justin Levi, Brittany Wilson (John) and Jaime Levi-Hampton of Harrisburg, PA. Sonny's legacy will be sure to continue through his many grandchildren he leaves behind: Lillyana, Julianna, Jayceon, Dominic, Sean, Janessa and Destiny. Sonny would have also soon been a great grandfather. Along with his family Sonny leaves behind many, many good close friends he grew up with and family members that will love and miss him dearly. We will all never forget his beautiful smile that would always brighten and comfort us when our days seemed bleak. The family will be holding a small service for close friends and family at The Indiantown Gap on January 15th at 10am. If you would like to send flowers for the service please send to: Neill Funeral Home 3501 Derry St. Harrisburg, PA 17111
