Dolores A. Ortenzio, 91, of Enola, formerly of Harrisburg, passed away Monday, May 16, 2022 at Homeland Center. Born May 7, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Park and Mildred (Signor) Smaling and was preceded in death by her husband, Charles P. Ortenzio; 2 brothers, Earl and Park Smaling; and sister, Dorothy Abel.
Dolores retired from the PA Department of Transportation and was a member of St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church. She enjoyed cooking, trips to the beach, bay fishing, bingo, and occasionally playing penny slots. Her family and friends knew her as someone who always had a ready smile and a kind word. A loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, she will be missed by all. Heaven has another angel.
Surviving are her sons, Charles Jr. (daughter-in-law, Marianne), Michael, Edward (daughter-in-law, Pam), and Steven (daughter-in-law, Candy), plus daughters, Donna Askey (son-in-law, Randy), and Deb Gray (son-in-law, Jim); 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Graveside Service will be held at Noon Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at Holy Cross Cemetery, Harrisburg.
