Byron Robert “Bob” Wolfgang Jr., 63, of Harrisburg, passed away Friday, June 7, 2013 at his home. He was born July 15, 1949 in Harrisburg; he was the son of the late Byron Robert and Edith (Shearer) Wolfgang Sr.
He was a retired Civil Engineer technician for the New Cumberland Army Depot; a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, he served on the USS Kaskaskia; and was a member of the Lawnton American Legion Post 998.
He was the founder of the Full Effect Band along with his brother, Greg Wolfgang and longtime friend, Harry Miller.
Surviving is his wife, Diane L. (Kistler) Wolfgang; his daughter, Janelle Lynn Wolfgang; his son, Jason James Wolfgang, both of Harrisburg; 2 brothers, Ron and Greg Wolfgang; 2 sisters, Debbie Brown and Terri Jones; and a stepbrother, Gary Wenrich.
Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 11, 2013 in the Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry St., Harrisburg. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday until the time of service.
