Betty Aldena Bivens, 80, of Harrisburg, passed away Thursday, May 25, 2023 at home.

Born May 19, 1943 in Steelton; she was the daughter of the late Alden Leroy and Betty A. (Lyons) Day, Sr.; and preceded in death by her husband, Joseph J. Bivens; and brother, Alden L. Day , Jr.

Surviving is her son, Anthony A. Bivens and wife, Dana; her daughter, Michelle Books-Schrader and husband, Bryan; 2 grandsons, Anthony J. Bivens and Joseph Books and wife, Risse; a great-granddaughter, Olivia Books; and sister-in-law, Susan Day.

Betty was a retired employee from Verdelli Farms/Fresh Express.

A Private Graveside Service will be held at Churchville Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central PA, 1320 Linglestown Rd., Harrisburg, PA 17110.
