Betsy Lou Lynch, 63, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at her home surrounded by family. Betsy grew up in Lewistown in a large, loving family. After high school she earned her beautician license and became one of the most beloved hair dressers in the area. After years locally she relocated to Harrisburg with her husband, Rick, whom have been together for over 25 years (married 15 years). In true Betsy fashion, she quickly spread her love and joy to new friends in the Harrisburg area where they have resided for over 22 years. She was a member of the Lawton Legion 998 where she made it a point to make everyone smile, laugh and feel loved. One of many joys came from spending time with the love of her life, Rick, her mother-in-law, Sandra, daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Ryan, and two wonderful grandchildren, as well as, many friends and family. Betsy was a woman of many talents with a love of animals, nature, gardening, cooking, baking, arts and crafts, sewing, reading, entertaining and sitting in the sun relaxing in her backyard, which she called her “perfect vacation.” Not only was she a wonderful friend to all who knew her she was an amazing daughter, sister, aunt, mother and grandmother. Her fun-loving spirit, spunk, laugh and smile were always adored and embraced. She is one of the kindest, most caring and genuine angels to ever bless the earth. She is survived in death by her “Momma Sandy,” Sandra L. Lynch, beloved husband, Ricky L. Lynch, daughter, Jennifer Krafcheck (Ryan), grandchildren, Isabelle and Christian, sisters Julie Lowmaster (Dave) and Susie Mckenzie, brothers, Art Sheaffer (Michele), Alvin Sheaffer, and Kenny Sheaffer and several nieces and nephews.
In honor of Betsy, a celebration of life will be held in Spring. An announcement will be made at a later date. In lieu of flowers, Betsy wanted donations to be made to any cancer cause you choose. She was a donor and supporter of St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital personally.
