Born April 10, 1964, in Camden, NJ, she was the daughter of the late William Santos; and preceded in death by her husband, Terry K. Bloom.
Surviving is her husband of 14 years, Donn Gutshall; two sons, Joshua Bloom and his wife, Holly and Kyle Bloom and his wife Samantha; a step-daughter, Jennifer Hoynak and her husband, Brian; her mother, Elena Santos; two brothers, Andrew Santos and James Santos; a sister, Maryann Santos; five grandchildren, Colton Bloom, Paxton Bloom, Penelope Bloom, Hudson Bloom and Alex Hoynak; and several nieces and nephews.
Barbara was a graduate of Catholic University and Cherry Hill East High School, NJ.
Barbara was a retired BSN Registered Nurse from the Hershey Endoscopy Center and also worked in the Cardiac Cath Lab at Polyclinic, Harrisburg, Holy Spirit and Geisinger Hospitals and volunteered at the Highmark Caring Place for over 10 years.
Barbara was a member of St. Margaret Mary Alacoque Catholic Church and a life member of Rescue Fire Co.
Barbara loved boating, camping, finding shark teeth, crafts, entertaining around the fire pit, her fall soup festival and in the spring the Cinco De Mayo party.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 PM Saturday, January 13, 2024 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 2800 Paxton Church Rd., Harrisburg. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, January 12, 2024 in Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry St., Harrisburg and 11:00 AM Saturday until the time of the service at the church.
