Born in Harrisburg on August 22, 1938, she was the beloved daughter of the late Pasquale and Anna (Marsico) Lanza. Her path intertwined with that of Augustus Anthony Catalano Jr., her husband whose memory remained etched in her heart even after his passing.
The story of her life continues through her three daughters, Anna Marie Kambic (Dr. Daniel), Deborah Catalano and Lisa Herbert (Dr. Rex); three grandchildren, Danielle Pelletier (Jason), Kelsey Miller (Jason) and Michael Kambic; two great-grandchildren, Reagan and Carter Pelletier; three siblings, Alfred Lanza, James Lanza, Frances Paese; and several nieces and nephews.
Anna's professional journey led her to become a seasoned and respected Tax Examiner, contributing her wealth of knowledge and dedication to the operations of the PA Department of Revenue until her well-deserved retirement. Beyond her professional life, she generously devoted her time to volunteering at the Salvation Army Worship Center in Harrisburg. Additionally, she found solace and community as a cherished member of St. Margaret Mary Alacoque Catholic Church.
Anna loved her garden, where the colors and scents mirrored her vibrant spirit and the joy she found in crafting and adorning miniature dollhouses was a testament to her creative soul. She cherished family time, sharing countless laughs—they lost track of how many. Whether it was a family dinner, intricate puzzle, or unconventional board game, she was up for anything as long as everyone was together. She treasured the relationships she had forged over the years and stayed connected with numerous friends. Her absence leaves a void that words cannot fill, yet her memory leaves an everlasting presence in the cherished moments and memories she gifted to those blessed to have known her.
