Alfred “Alfredo” Lupacchini, Sr., 95, passed away on February 8, 2017 at Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. He was surrounded by his children and loved ones.
Alfredo was born on June 16, 1921 in Collenela, Italy. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to many.
Alfredo served in United States Coast Guard during WWII. He was a local business man who owned and operated the Hotel Plaza in downtown Harrisburg. Alfredo was well-known for his shoe store, Achilles Heels. He loved to talk to people and had many colorful stories to share. He also enjoyed gardening and cooking.
Alfredo is survived by his five sons, Freddy, Tommy, Michael, John and Joe; two daughters, Irene and Cookie; three grandchildren, Molly, Katy and Emma; four great-grandchildren, Sterrett and Nick, Sofia and Chloe; and best friend and companion, Josie Mazzoni.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Guido and Regina; two wives, Emma and Mary; and two sisters, Amelia Timmons Leinbach and Carina Ascani.

Visitation will be held on February 14, 2017 from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at Saint Catherine Labouré Church, 4000 Derry Street, Harrisburg, PA 17111.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on February 14 at 12 p.m. at Saint Catherine Labouré Church. Alfredo will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery, Harrisburg.
