Mrs. Cheryl Annette Parks Wooten, 50, of 827 E. Memorial Hwy., Harmony, died Saturday October 27, 2012 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Born in Iredell County on January 12, 1962, she was a daughter of Rev. J. C. Parks, Sr. and Frances Souther Parks, both of whom survive and are of Statesville. Cheryl was a former X-Ray Technician and was a member of East Side Baptist Church. She loved to read and enjoyed her grandchildren, sports and cheerleading while she was in school.
On January 24, 1987, she married Steve Wooten who survives. Also surviving are three sons, Max Wooten (Shannon) of Mocksville, Luke Wooten of Harmony and Caleb Wooten of the home. Additional survivors include her brother, Rev. John C. Parks, Jr.(Pam) of Statesville and two grandchildren: Mallory and Jackson Wooten.
Services celebrating Cheryl's life will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday October 31, 2012 at Hebron Baptist Church with Rev. John Parks, Rev. Tom Blackburn and Rev. Tony Bunton officiating. The family will be assembled at the home and will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at Reavis Funeral Home Of Harmony. Burial will follow in the Harmony Cemetery.
