Pedro R. Martinez

He was born May 19, 1935, in Linares, Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Juan and Maria De Gracia (Rodriguez) Martinez.

He is proceeded in death by both parents; son, Narciso Martinez; and siblings, Santos, Juan, Arturo, Federico, Maria Rita, and Angelina Martinez.

He is survived by his wife, Francisca Martinez; mother of his children, Maria E. Martinez; sons Roberto (Julia), Eliseo (Michelle), Juan “Johnny”; daughters Elizabeth (Jesse) Gonzalez and Maria De Jesus “Susie” Martinez; sisters Lucila (Tomas) Bazaldua, Hortencia (Efren) Cavazos, Rafaela (Daniel) Zuniga, and Margarita (Gilberto) Treviño; 6 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter.

Visitation will be held at Del Angel Funeral Home on Sunday, February 19, 2017, from 1 to 9 p.m., with a holy rosary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 209 S. 10th St. in Harlingen, on Monday, February 20, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Restlawn Memorial Park.

The Martinez family would like to thank all those who showed continuous love and support during these difficult times. We are especially grateful to Juan Carlos Zuniga for always providing support to our father regardless of the time of day.
