Maria De La Luz Zamarripa

She is preceded in death by her husband, Francisco Zamarripa, and her two daughters, Norma Z. Morales and Maria Del Rosario Zamarripa.

She is survived by her children, Andy (Emily) Zamarripa, Janie Salinas, Tony (Linda) Zamarripa, David (Mary) Zamarripa, Martha (Robert) Chapa, and Frank (Gloria) Zamarripa. Mrs. Zamarripa is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and siblings, Jose Bustamente, Javier Bustamante, Marina Villanueva, Estefana Carmona, Anita Gonzalez, and Lola Bustamante.

Visitation will be held Sunday, May 15, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Chapel. Funeral mass will be held on Monday, May 16, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Harlingen, Texas. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in La Feria, Texas.

A special thanks to Dr. Frances Meyers-Mitchell, the nursing staff at Retama Manor for the excellent care provided to our mother, and to Eloina Rodriguez, her home care provider.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are her grandsons, Javier Salinas, John Anthony Coronado, Juan Carlos Salinas, Frankie Zamarripa, Marco Zamarripa, Frank Zamarripa, III, Johnny Zamarripa, and her great-grandson, Jordan Locke.
