Eugenio was born in Harlingen, Texas, to Justo Robles(+) and Lidia Galvan-Robles. He was a migrant worker who traveled to Florida. He was a member of Word of God Church “Grace Point Fellowship” for thirty five years where he served as head-deacon and head usher. He was employed at Eliff Motors and for thirty five years he worked and volunteered at the Boys and Girls Club of Harlingen. After his retirement he enjoyed playing volleyball; which led to his son starting a nationally recognized volleyball club in Colorado. He was a world re-nowned fisherman, antique collector, and professional dog breeder. Geno will be remembered for his character and personality. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Revelation 3:5
“The one who is victorious will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out the name of that person from the book of life, but will acknowledge that name before my father and his angels.”
Geno was a man who freely loved. Led and moved by his intense love of Jesus Christ, Geno loved all whom he encountered; with a genuine and easy feel. Free of judgement of condemnation, his entire essence was permeated with a love that was gentle and sincere. Armed with a playful sense of humor, he had a smile, joke, laugh, hug, handshake or a pat on the back at the ready for any and all. Quick to help, quick to forgive and quick to listen. He was slow to speak and even slower to anger as he lived out his unshakeable faith in God as his testimony. He lived his life in service of others, uplifting the down trodden and befriending the friendless. Geno’s enduring legacy will always be the countless lives that he touched and forever changed with his love.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Connie Robles; their daughter, Jessica (Todd) Lincoln; their son, Michael Gene Robles; his siblings, Lidia (Felix) Lara, Elvira (Jesse) Orona, Josie (Ruben) Garcia, Nina (Raul) Tovar, and Marcie Albee Robles and three grandchildren.
