He was preceded in death by his son Angel Gonzalez, Jr.

He is survived by his loving wife Francisca Gonzalez, 8 children; Evarista (Silviano) Barron, Carolina (Eleazar) Garza, Angela (Daniel) Ramirez, Maria Elena (Alfredo) Mejia, Basilio (Rose) Gonzalez, Ricardo (Celia) Gonzalez, Rosalinda Gonzalez, Javier (Teresa) Gonzalez, 26 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and 10 siblings; Roberto Gonzalez, Genaro Gonzalez, Pablo Gonzalez, Raul Gonzalez, Ernesto Gonzalez, Casimiro Gonzalez, Federico Gonzalez, Juanita Davila, Maria Refugia Garcia, and Elijio Gonzalez.

Angel was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He will always be in our hearts and never forgotten. He touched our lives in so many beautiful ways. We will miss him always and forever but know he is in a better place.

Visitation will begin today Thursday, September 26, 2013 at 10 a.m. and continue until 9 p.m., with a prayer service to begin at 7 p.m., at Funeraria Del Angel Chapel. Chapel services will be conducted on Friday, September 27, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Chapel in Harlingen, Texas. Interment will follow at El Ranchito Cemetery in El Ranchito, TX.
