Phyllis E. Love, 98, of Monroeville, formerly of Harlan, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2024, at Adams Heritage. She was born to the late Walter F. and Jeanette G. (Dean) Timbrook on January 6, 1926 in Allen County. She married Stanley K. Love, sharing 72 years together before his passing on September 5, 2016. Phyllis was a true partner in life to her beloved husband, Stanley, in running their successful refrigeration and repair business. Together, they built a business known for its integrity and service. Their partnership was a testament to their shared values of hard work, dedication, and mutual support. Phyllis had many passions in life, including gardening, sewing, cooking, and fishing. She found joy in tending to her garden, creating beautiful garments, preparing delicious meals for her loved ones, and casting her line into the tranquil waters. Her warm smile and generous spirit brightened the lives of those around her. Phyllis was also a devoted member of her church, where she found comfort, strength, and fellowship. Even during her time at the nursing home, she remained active in her faith, eagerly anticipating her Thursday schedule of attending church services and engaging in spirited rounds of BINGO with her friends. Phyllis will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love, kindness, and service will continue to inspire us all. Surviving are her daughter Vicki Sefton; brother, Max (Donna) Timbrook; sister, Deanna Leonard; grandchildren Gary (Brooke) Sefton and Melanie Allen; great grandchildren Brad, Blaine, Connor Sefton and Nick Allen; and three great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a sister, Bonnie J. Timbrook. Memorial donations may be directed to the Make a Wish foundation. A Celebration of Life will be at Hockemeyer Funeral Home in Harlan, Friday, April 5, 2024 at 3:00 PM. Calling will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Pastor Ralph Klinker will officiate. Inurnment will follow at Harlan Memorial Cemetery.
