At the age of 3 months, his family relocated to Hanford, CA. He attended Armona Elementary from 1954-1962, he attended Hanford Union High School and Graduated in the class of 1966. He continued his education at College of Sequoias in Visalia, CA where he received his AA in Business Admin. in 1968. Later he returned to COS Visalia to receive an AA Degree in Sociology.
From 1968-1972 he was active in the United States Air Force, Security Services, where he specialized in Morse Code. He served a tour in Okinawa and 3 months in Japan. The last 3 years of his tour was at Chicksands Air Force Base, England.
While in England, he met and married Sharon Smith and had one daughter.
Later, he remarried the woman he would spend the rest of his life with in February 1978. He married Ollie L. Inabnit in Hanford, CA.
Upon finishing his 4 years in the Air Force he began working at Pirelli Armstrong Tire Corp. where he held multiple job titles, including Component Inventory Control Supervisor.
In 1982, he separated from Armstrong and began his career with the United States Postal Service where he retired in 2003. Part-time, he helped his Brother, Ron, in the painting business.
Wayne enjoyed the outdoors and the countryside with its great beauty. He enjoyed traveling and he had a love for animals and all God’s creatures.
He is survived by his Wife of 38 years, Ollie Louise (Inabnit) Brown. One Daughter: Sharon (Osha) Mishan, two Grandsons: Jacob Riley and Noah Mishan all of the Los Angeles area. Two Brothers: Ron Brown (Jan) and Don Brown (Kelly). Numerous nieces and nephews, one Brother-in-law: Glenn Inabnit (Lenora), five Sisters-in-law: Violet Miller, Shirley Inabnit, Doris Herriage, Marie Barrett (Steve), Vicki Souza (Robert Lusk), Great-Nieces and Nephews and a large extended family.
He is preceded in death by his Parents: John E. Brown Jr. 1988 and Gloria M. (Whitten) Brown 1998, Brothers-in-law: William “Bud” Edmonds 1988, Harlan Miller 1980, George Herriage 2014, Charles “Sonny” Inabnit 1983 and Mother-in-law: Mildred Inabnit 2002.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 8th from 5-7 p.m. with a Funeral Service on Tuesday, February 9th at 10 a.m. all at People’s Funeral Chapel; 501 N. Douty Street, Hanford, CA with a Graveside Service to follow at Hanford Cemetery; 10500 S. 10th Avenue, Hanford, CA.
