Good evening, my name is Nicholas Moralez, and I am the proud son of Rudy Moralez , I stand before you today to share some fond memories and pay tribute to our beloved Father/Son. However Foremost on behalf of our family I would like to extend our deepest appreciation to all those who have displayed the kindness and generosity within their hearts as you’ve stood beside our family during this time of loss while providing unwavering support throughout this unbearable experience.lastly although this is a very tragic reason to call for a gathering it brings myself as well as my family great joy and happiness to look out into the many faces of people lives our father has touched in his own unique way and hearing all of these crazy stories is what will keep his name alive until eternity and for that we are very grateful. Rudy, Big Ruru, Rudy-tootie , Crazy boy are just a few of the many names my father was known by, but the most prestigious and meaningful title of all to me was Dad. My father had and continues to have a profound impact on my life and through his many examples of love, kindness, generosity, grit, perseverance, and most importantly his will as well as determination to be the best he could for his family has directly molded and shaped the man who stands before you all today. My dad had many passions aside from his family, he loved animals, listening to rock n roll music and tearing up the Avenal hills on his dirt bike. Some of my greatest childhood memories were created in those very hills weather if it was us mud boggin in his blazer, going on bicycle rides or my favorite of all riding our quads until the sun went down. These memories will last a lifetime and although he my not be here physically I know when I take my son to ride his dirt bike in those same hills he will be right along side of us spiritually dusting us out like he always did and I can’t wait for that moment. Now I know a lot of you may be wondering why we are all wearing AC/DC highway to hell t-shirts and playing their music in the background? Well if you knew my dad then you would know of his love for this band so much so that he even has it tattooed on his left wrist. In fact the song “Highway to Hell” was actually written about when the suns setting in the west and you’re driving across, it looks like a fireball. So from now on whenever you are driving down the highway during a bright summer sunset I hope you are all reminded of my wonderful father because I know I will be. Lastly I want to express my gratitude for the time I was able to share with my father the memories we’ve created will forever be embedded within my heart and I will always honor your memory as your legacy will forever live on through all of us. Until we meet again dad I will live by the wise words you once told me “no matter the obstacles we face, just try to remember, we must keep are chin held high!!” I hope I made you proud dad. I know it’s time for me to be the man of the family and I will honorably do so but one thing I will always be is your baby boy love forever NicNic….
