Maria Severa Ramirez

Maria was employed by California State Department of Corrections; Avenal State Prison as a records clerk and was formerly employed by the Kings County District Attorney’s office.

She attended St. Rose Thomas McCarthy School, graduated from Hanford High and Attended Fresno State.

Maria was a member of the Kings County Mexican American Women’s Council where she passionately served on many committees. She also was a pink hat member and attended many functions with women who treated her like their daughter.

Maria’s parents preceded her in death, Rita B Ramirez of Hanford and Robert Ramirez of Fresno. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, aunts, uncles and numerous cousins who treated her as their sibling.

The family wishes to express their gratitude and appreciation to Margie Juarez for the loving care provided to Maria this past year and to Kings Nursing & Rehab along with Asera Care for the excellent quality of services provided during Hospice.
