Linda L. O'Farrell Iden

June 23, 1944 – June 10, 2013

Linda was born on June 23, 1944 to J.R. & Gladys O’Farrell in Chico, CA and passed away on June 10, 2013 in Hanford, CA. She lived most of her adult life in the Hanford area.

She is preceded in death by her parents; J.R & Gladys O’Farrell, son; Christopher Cortez, and her sister; Judy O’Farrell.

She married the love of her life Merlin Iden in Reno, NV on June 3, 1976 who was by her side when she passed away. She truly enjoyed scrapbooking for her grandchildren. Each year at Christmas they all enjoyed and looked forward to opening those books and spent hours looking at their lives in pictures. She loved her weekly jaunts to The Palace with Merlin and she will be missed by the friends she made there. She worked for many years at Cal Farm Insurance and Kings County Probation Department.

She is survived by her daughters; Shari Cortez George (Mike) of Bakersfield, CA and Nina Cortez Hickman (Robbie) of Tulare, CA. She leaves behind her loving Grandchildren; Nick Wilson (Sarah) of Tulare, CA, Jeff Wilson (Erica) of Tulare, CA, Ashli Hickman of Tulare, CA, Zack Julien (Megan) of Bakersfield, CA, Erica George of Bakersfield, CA and Micheal Spence of Bakersfield, CA. She also leaves behind her precious great-grandbabies; Lauren Wilson, Gavin Wilson, Jacob Wilson, Sierra Wilson of Tulare, CA and Audriana Julien of Bakersfield, CA. Also left to mourn her loss are her sisters; Sharon Boster of Red Bluff, CA and Barbara Brown of Sacramento, CA and her brothers; Patrick O’Farrell of Red Bluff, CA and Michael O’Farrell of Willows, CA. Our family would like to thank Elia Chanez for her many hours of trusted loving care.

A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the beautiful historic Grangeville Cemetery; 10428 14th Ave., Armona, CA 93202 559-924-3439.
