Kristi Kay McCullough, 56 of Lemoore, California passed away on Friday, April 8, 2011 at the Adventist Hospital in Hanford , California, following a hard fought battle with cancer, She was a homemaker.
Kristi was born in Atlantic, Iowa on July 20, 1954 to her loving parents, Edward Phillip Paul and Beverly Lea Kinnersley Paul. She was raised and educated in Coronado, California and graduated in 1972 from Coronado High School. During high school Kristi enjoyed working in the library. She attended South Western Community College where she was active in archery. From 1973 to 1975 Kristi served her country with honor in the United States Air Force, serving at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida. On July 20, 1985 she married William Charles McCullough in El Cajon, California. They moved to Lemoore, California in 2000 to make their home. Kristi was a loving wife and caring person who enjoyed helping others. She was an avid reader, enjoyed music and had composed numerous songs. Horses were the love of her life. She spent many hours learning to ride, grooming and caring for them. She often dreamed of owning her own horse. They were very theraputic for her. Kristi will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Kristi leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband, William of Lemoore, CA her mother and stepfather, Beverly and Barton G. Webb of Atlantic, IA; two brothers, Daniel Paul and wife, Nina of Redding, CA and Timothy Paul of Berkeley, CA; two sisters, Terrie Coman of San Diego, CA and Julie Paul of Broomfield, CO; one nephew, Christopher and two nieces, Xeena and Heather; one great nephew, Jackson and two great nieces, Madison and Lilly; her pet bird, Pringles and her dog, Charlie.
Kristi will be laid to rest at Atlantic Cemetery in Atlantic, IA during a private family service.
