Kenneth Gene Cates

Kenneth was born in Hanford, California on January 16, 1971 to Dale and Clara Cates. He attended elementary schools in Armona and Laton and then attended Hanford High School. He worked at the Visalia Movie Theater, Hanford Walmart, and began working at Tachi Palace in Lemoore in 2001 as a Slot Tech. He enjoyed music, playing his many guitars, movies, and traveling. Halloween was a favorite time for him. Kenneth enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a much loved son, brother, nephew, and friend and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Kenneth especially enjoyed spending time with his nephew, Gavin.

Kenneth is survived his mother, Clara of Hanford, one sister, Judy Cates of Lakewood, WA; two brothers, Lewis Cates and Carl Cates and wife, Angie, all of Hanford; stepbrother, Daleray Cates and wife, Beatrice of Fresno; his aunt and uncle Pat and James Wilson of Riverdale, CA; best friend Craig Johnson of Lemoore, CA; nepews, Brandon Cates of Lakewood, WA, JoJo Garcia of Hanford and Gavin Cates of Hanford, nieces, Melissa Cates; his extended family and many, many friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2011 from 4 - 7 p.. at People's Funeral Chapel, 501 N. Douty St. in Hanford, California. Celebration of Life services will be held on Friday, October 7, 2011 at 11 a.m. at People's Funeral Chapel. Interment services will foloow immediately at Grangeville Cemetery in Armona, California.
