John Ronquillo of Hanford, California for 45 years entered into peace after a long illness on Wednesday, June 20, 2012. John was born to Marcos and Fulgencia Ronquillo on December 17, 1938 in San Miguel, California. John worked as a Butcher for 23 years for Hanford Meat Packing Company and then retired from Baker Commodities. John was a longtime member of UFCW 1288. Some of John’s life’s passions were playing golf as often as possible, going fishing and watching all sports every chance he had. Some of John’s favorite teams were the Los Angeles Dodgers, St. Louis Rams and the Los Angeles Lakers. While visiting our valley’s local casinos he would often make new friends and see them again on another visit! John never met a stranger; in fact he always enjoyed meeting new people and having a conversation. John truly liked traveling all day when he could all throughout the valley. He would go into the country side and explore all the back roads and the beauty of the valley. He found it very peaceful to be riding along and listening to his favorite music while learning new and beautiful things that the country had to offer.
John was one of seven children being the only son. He was raised mostly in Hanford, California, spending much of his time with his aunt & uncle; Augustina & John Ronquillo along with his cousins, whom he considered his brothers and sisters.
John is survived by his children all of Hanford, California; John Ronquillo, Jr., Robert Ronquillo, Joe Ronquillo and Diane Ronquillo. He also leaves behind two sisters; Gloria Perez of Sylmar and Rita Lopez of Santa Rosa, California. John has 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
