On Friday, January 13, 2023, we said goodbye to our beloved family member Pastor Jimmy Lee Smith. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. We are extremely saddened by this loss. From an outstanding High School baseball pitcher to a retired Santa Fe Railroad employee of 37 years, Pastor Smith’s calling was to return home from Topeka, Kansas to Hanford, California, where he Pastored at Calvary Temple C.O.G.I.C. in Lemoore, California; continuing his father Pastor Oratio Smith Sr.’s legacy.
Pastor Smith leaves behind a wife, 2 sons, 2 stepsons, a host of grandchildren, along with 3 brothers, 2 sisters, uncles, aunts, cousins, and many friends.
A Visitation for Jimmy will be held on Friday, February 10, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. at Koinonia Church, 12536 Hanford Armona Rd, Hanford, California 93230. A Funeral Service will occur Friday, February 10, 2023 at 10:00 a.m; burial to follow immediately at Hanford Cemetery, 10500 S 10th Ave, Hanford, California 93230.
Serving as pallbearers are Christopher Smith, Jermond Smith, ShRon Bonner, Alvin Smith Jr., Samuel Smith Jr., Elijah Smith, Lamar Smith, Onajey Smith, Christopher Batiste, Robert Batiste, Oratio Smith Jr., Steve Smith and Samuel Smith Sr..
