Jerry L. Watson

Jerry Lee Watson, age 84, went home to be with the Lord on January 9, 2018. She was born December 22, 1933 in La Habra, California, to Boyd and Tennie Barnett. She graduated from Coalinga High School in 1951 and attended Business College in Fresno, California. After devoting her life to raising her four children, she married her best friend and love of her life Bill Watson. Together, they resided in Hanford where she worked as a secretary for the Director of Nursing at Adventist Health. After the passing of her husband in 2000, she lived with her sister in Santa Maria until moving back to Hanford in 2014. She truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures by shining her light for God, spending time with family and friends, and loving cats.

She is survived by her children David (Karen) Beasley, Curt (Tammy) Beasley, Lynn (Frank) Garcia, Cori (Steve) Randolph, 13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren and sister, Donna Horton. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bill Watson and her parents Boyd and Tennie Barnett and brother Boyd Manfred (Freddie) Barnett.

She had a gifted ability to reach people in a loving, deep and positive way. Family, friends and others, whose lives Jerry touched, are invited to a Memorial Service on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 2:00 pm at The Church of Christ, 1596 W. Grangeville Blvd, Hanford, California, 93230, to reminisce, grieve, support each other and, of course, just chat.
