I will always remember so many great memories of Simba from when we met in 7th grade at Woodrow Wilson, riding skateboards around town, fun times in high school, cruising Tavios, trips to the Pismo and so many others,  He was a true friend and will be missed by many.  - Johnny Nickell

This news, has me in shock. My condolences to the family of Jason Sumioka. My thoughts and prayers go out you. My high school memories include you as a great friend. We had so many great times together. I'm glad I got a chance to see and talk to you about 6 or 7 years ago. RIP my friend.

SIMBA, my heart breaks hearing this news! We will all miss you and that soft, caring voice! I will never forget the awesome talks/ lunches we had, and you wacking those gophers and traumatizing me LOL! Rest In Peace my friend, until we meet again! 

Well i just found out of the passing of a friend,homeboy,brother and a awesome person to know .SIMBA you my friend are gonna be missed my friend There will be a day again jay when we will meet again and go cruising tavois till then i love you and miss you

 I just wanted you to know that Jason, Simba to us, was and will always be loved.  He wasn’t just a friend but more of a brother to our Quinones family.  I’ll always remember him as a kind,soft-spoken,caring and protective brother who I love. I am happy he is at peace which is the only thing that consoles all of us.
