Harvey Anthony Costa

Harvey Anthony Costa, 66 passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2013. He was born in Turlock, California on October 16, 1946 to Anthony Victor Costa and Marion Vancillos. He had two brothers and two sisters.

He is survived by his the love of his life, his wife of 45 years Carol Costa; son Eric Costa and wife Pamela, daughter Robin Molesky and husband Calvin and his grandchildren; Matthew, Krystal, Arin, Madison, Nykole, Sammatha, Melyssa and Zachary.

He was in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam conflict where he was awarded numerous service metals for service to his country. Harvey was an avid outdoorsman, loved aviation and was a seasoned pilot who built numerous aircrafts in his lifetime. He was Chapter President of the EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association ) in Chandler, California. Harvey was also a member of the AOPA (Aircraft Owner and Pilot Association), member of the Air Patrol -Sheriff's Posse and member of the NRA. He retired as a Production Supervisor in 2008 from J.D. Heiskells Company in Corcoran, California.

A Celebration of Life in Harvey's honor will be on Sunday, September 8, 2013 from 8:30 – 10:30 a.m. at the Hanford Airport; 954 E. Hanford-Armona Road, Hanford, CA 93230 559-585-2589 with U.S. Army Funeral Honors. His family and friends will be scattering him from his airplane off the Coast of San Luis Obispo County also at a later date.
