Guadalupe "Lupe" Lara

Lupe Lara was born June 22, 1920 and passed away of natural causes May 9, 2011. Lupe work and lived in Hanford most of her life. She was a house keeper and for many years and had numerous clients around Hanford. Lupe could be outspoken at times but was really known for great generosity often shown towards strangers, neighbors, friends and family.

Lupe was preceded in death by her husband Jose Lara whom she married in 1948.

She is survived by two of her children, Joseph Lara of San Jose, California, and Mary Winn of Hanford. She had another son Albert Lara who preceded her in death many years ago. Lupe also has nine surviving grandchildren Mary Gomes, Diane Santos, Sal Santos, Anthony Santos, Mathew Lara, Sandra Lara, Jason Lara, Julie Lara and Alex Lara; 15 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and a sister, Jenny Valenzuela.

Graveside Services will be held on Friday May 13, 2011 at 12:00 noon at Calvary Cemetery, 10680 S. 10th Avenue, Hanford CA.
