Edward Anthony Cruz

Edward Anthony Cruz, 50 of Hanford passed away on September 2, 2013 surrounded by his family and friends. “Eddie” was born on June 13, 1963 to Mary Cruz and the late Joseph Cruz. He was a graduate of Hanford High School, class of 1982 and attended College of the Sequoias majoring in paralegal studies.

Eddie had a career in the retail and service industry in Las Vegas, Nevada for over 17 years. Recently, he had returned to Hanford to help provide assistance to his father and continued working in retail sales. Eddie was passionate about politics, pets, and the California Coast. His kind gentle nature was demonstrated in the care of his faithful dog “Pee Wee”. A generous soul willing to share anything he had and would give his last dollar to help those less fortunate.

Eddie is survived by his mother; Mary Cruz of Hanford, sister; Angela & Ephren Hernandez of Corcoran, brother; Albert & Tisha Cruz of San Francisco and a nephew; Matthew Verhage of Hanford.

A Memorial Celebrating Eddie’s Life will be held at on Friday, September 13, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Koinonia Christian Fellowship; 12536 Hanford-Armona Road, Hanford, CA 93230 559-582-1528.
