Dorothy Louise Dixon Proctor

Dorothy was a Community Liaison Specialist who will be remembered as one who always opened her arms to anyone in need. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and friend.

Dorothy was preceded in death by parents, John and Luvina Dixon. She is survived by her long time companion, Leroy Puckett; 3 sons, Morris Lee Love, Abraham Davell Ross and Donovan Akins; 2 daughters, Patricia Benson and Janell Burdine, all of Hanford. Dorothy will also be greatly missed by stepchildren, Donna and Lee Love, Leslie and April Proctor, Wilbert Proctor and Mathew and Pam Proctor of Hanford, Michael and Stacie Puckett and David and Lacey Puckett of Lemoore, Brenda and Shawn Berry of Texas, as well as 8 grandchildren, Danelle Shanae Ross, Donna Denise Ross, Patrick Ross, Latoya Love, Morris Lee Love, Michael Love, Serenity Ross and Cody Puckett, 2 great grandchildren, Jaymeon Ross and Maziyah Love and god daughter, Dorothy Louise Andrews.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 17, 2010 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at People’s Funeral Chapel. Celebration of Life Service will be Thursday, March 18, 2010 11:00 a.m. at Golden Harvest Apostolic Church in Hanford with burial following at Hanford Cemetery.
