Donna Rose Leigh Shaw

Donna was born on July 19, 1951 to Robert and Doris Talley-Leigh in Terre Haute, Indiana. Donna grew up in Terre Haute and graduated from West Vigo High School in 1969. She attended Indiana State University.

November 23, 1971 Donna married her best friend, Willis "Bill" Shaw, in Paris, Illinois. In 1974 they moved to Sunland, Ca. In July of 1976 they had their only son Jeffrey Leigh Shaw in Bellflower, CA. In 1984 they decided to relocate to Hanford, CA.

Donna worked for Security Pacific Bank in Hanford for 15 years. She then worked for Kings County Public Guardian Veteran’s Service Office for 22 years; promoted to Deputy Public Guardian before retiring on Dec. 30, 2013.

Donna is preceded in death by her husband Willis "Bill" Shaw; sister, Debbie Sheperd ; mother, Doris Talley-Leigh, and father Robert Leigh. She is survived by son Jeff and wife Annette, grandchildren Hayden, Emma, Brielle, and Jaxson, her brother Dwayne Leigh, and sister Dottie Certain.

A viewing will be held Thursday May 5, 2016 at People’s Funeral Chapel 501 N. Douty St. Hanford, Ca from 4 to 6pm. The funeral will begin with the traditional rosary at 9:30am and mass at 10:00am on Friday May 6, 2016 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church 870 N. Lemoore Ave. Lemoore, Ca. Interment will be following mass at Grangeville Cemetery 10428 14th Ave. Armona, Ca. A reception will follow at the Lemoore Senior Center 789 S. Lemoore Ave Lemoore, Ca.
