At the tender age of four Connie moved from Texas to California and settled in Hanford CA, where she attended elementary and High School graudating class of 1965. On September 23, 1967 She married Richard Rodriguez of Hanford. From that day in 1967, until her passing, the Rodriguez family loved her as one of their own.
Together, Connie and Richard raised 3 daughters.
Not one to shy away from hard work, Connie spent her youth working in the fields. As an adult she worked and held several different jobs, most notably for Pacific Bell where she worked for many years and from which she retired. She also worked many years at and retired from Adventist Health Hospital where she held several positions during her tenure there.
Connie was well known and admired for her style and fashion sense. She always looked classy for any occasion she attended. Rare are the moments that you would not see her in high heels, with her hair and make-up done flawlessly!
She loved to travel with friends and family, and often did. Her trip to Paris, France, was one of her all-time favorite memories to recall. She also enjoyed taking several cruises and flying to Hawaii for the NFL Pro Bowl.
Connie had several hobbies that she would spend her free time doing, sewing, gardening, or crocheting. Connie also loved hosting events throughout the years at her home on Manor Avenue, which brought her untold joy. If you were a niece or nephew, you were most likely greeted with a very heartfelt “Hey kid!” and that greeting continued as the kids grew into adults.
At the heart of who this special woman was, was the love of family. And she seemed to cherish every moment with those she loved both in her immediate family and her extended family. And that is how she will be remembered by those that know and love her.
Connie is survived by her three daughters, Gina Rodriguez, Cindy Rodriguez, and Angel Rodriguez-Galvan, from Hanford CA. She is survived also by six Grandchildren and eight Great-grandchildren and a big extended family.
